Responsibilities
- Independently Design and implement new features using latest advancements in technology.
- Understand and appreciate data-driven iterations on existing product features while using/enhancing platform capabilities
- Work closely with Product Managers, Designers and Other Engineering teams to build an ecommerce platform to be proud of.
- Understand and appreciate the business and operational nuances to identify possible gaps and fill them.
Mandatory
- Strong in algorithms and data-structures with good analytical/problem-solving skills
- Solid software development skills with experience building software in Java.
- Experience driving software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation)
- Proficient in a Unix/Linux environment
- Excellent communication skills including experience speaking to a technical and business audiences
Desired
- Experience with highly transactional Systems using any RDBMS (Preference: MYSQL)
- Experience with distributed systems.
- Working experience with any NoSQL (Mongo DB, Cassandra, etc.) is desirable
- B.S./B.Tech/M.C.A from top universities/institutes (IITs, NITs etc).
