KEY LTE CPI DOCUMENTS
Some key CPI documents to get started with Ericsson LTE RAN:
System and Node Description
Overview of LTE RAN system & RBS node, including high-level description of system architecture, interfaces, hardware & key functions
Network Impact Report
Describes how new or changed features for a specific release can impact existing customer network upon introduction, including capacity, performance, hardware, interfaces, network elements & observability
Key Performance Indicators
Describes LTE RAN KPIs used to measure subscriber perceived quality and system performance
Parameter and Counter Limitations
Lists unsupported parameters/ranges, counters, events and alarms
Flowcharts for Counters
Flowcharts for main traffic scenarios & relevant counters, indicating how & when these counters are pegged
Managed Object Model (MOM)
A view of all the manageable resources in the node, and all the associated parameters, counters and actions
Feature Descriptions
Describes feature operation, including main benefits & impacts in LTE RAN
System & Node Description
Some important chapters:
Hardware:  Includes high-level description of digital unit & radio unit functions
Traffic interfaces:  Includes protocol stacks for control plane & user plane, high-level description of air interface protocols
Bearers & Services, etc:  Include high-level definitions/terminology for different LTE bearers
Scheduler:  Overview of scheduler inputs/resources & associated features
QoS:  High-level overview of QoS & associated features
FLOWCHARTS for COUNTERS
Description document contains flowcharts for the main traffic sequences that impact performance statistics counters in the RBS
Only a subset of available counters is included in the document
Flowcharts are drawn from RBS perspective & are meant to give some insight into the implementation of the counter
E.g. when it is stepped, related counters, etc.
