RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Monitor automated alarms performing continued alarm surveillance, alarm detection, alarms correlation and trouble/failure origin identification, problem notification, ticket administration, resolution follow-up, escalation, verification of resolved issues and ticket closure and reporting.
2. Provide direct customer support when required.
3. Monitor all alarms from the network and transport equipment: Nokia 1830 PSS-xx , Nokia 7750 routers , 7705 Switches and Cameras.
4. Monitor power supplies: commercial AC power, battery plants, rectifiers, backup generators and UPS systems.
5. Monitor building and facility alarms: intrusion, entry, open door, fire, smoke, flooding, and all other alarms related to the physical safety of the buildings and their infrastructure.
6. Monitor environmental conditions: temperature, humidity, and the functional statuses of the continued operation of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC).
7. In case of multiple alarms originated from a certain site or interrelated group of NW elements, Tier-1 should perform multiple alarms correlation in accordance to a pre-defined Alarm Management Process Flow, in order to identify the probable root-cause or causes of the multiple alarms, thus minimizing the amounts of tickets to be created. 
8. Tier-1 should be capable of pointing to the most probable root-cause or causes responsible for multiple alarms to appear.
9. Forwarding ticket for resolution to tier-2 NOC and Field teams where required and following up.
10. Be responsible and accountable for the alarm/ticket process, ensuring 100% case closure based in verified evidences.
11. Report ticket opening & closing statistics.
