What's the difference between engineer and Technician.?
.
A question that may be hesitate by many: what is the difference between an engineer and a technician? Especially in the reality that we see professionals doing various engineering works, including breakdowns, maintenance, installation, and even programming, for many devices and applications in different technical areas.
So what's the engineer's role? Is it an administrative person, for example, organizing technical operations? But, wait a minute, there are a lot of engineers doing maintenance, breakdowns, installation and programming. Things are getting kind of complicated!
In order to be clear, we need to use the faculty plan that qualifies the student to get the " Engineer " or " Technician ".
In engineering colleges, the duration of the engineering study lasts 5 years in most colleges, some 4 years. For academic study that qualifies the student to become artistic, it extends for two years (mostly).
For the faculty of engineering, it is primarily studying basic science (Mathematics-Physics) in some detail and expansion, while we hardly find such a study for the technician. In addition, engineering college students are studying decisions related to: Design, production, automation, information systems. While we almost do not find such a study for the technician. On the other hand, students students are receiving intensive education over two years of practical and applied affairs: testing, detection, maintenance, breakdowns, installation, computer systems... etc.
Through a simple, simple review, the academic qualification of engineer is directed towards having the following skills:
e
Logical Analysis (through long study of mathematical decisions and mathematical logic)
Discover problems and devise solutions (also through the study of mathematics and physics, and take advantage of basic science principles in practical practical projects)
Design and innovation solutions (by diving with details of practical applications, whether electronic, computer or software)
For to, his academic and university qualification is directed towards having the following skills:
Installation of hardware and information systems
Identify and testing
Maintenance and repair
So, we can say based on the previous review that the engineer is in the design area, innovation, the ability to find solutions to problems.
Technician is that person who has practical and applied experience, dealing with organs and regulations, so as to help engineer translate and move his ideas from design space into effect.
This is, although it is true of a large proportion, but does not deny the engineer's need for technical details, such as maintenance, breakdowns, installation, testing and other. In Essence, the absence of such technical knowledge will give weakness to its analytical and productivity capabilities, and the amount of information it possesses, which it needs to solve current problems, or devise new applications.
In other words, technical and applied capabilities are important and essential for the engineer and technician, which is the cornerstone of their work in all areas. For The Engineer, he adds technical, technical and applied capabilities, design, creative and innovative capacities, which are obtained through the long academic study, through actual practice and the implementation of various projects.
Is there anything else I should say? Yes, it is that a man must determine his and his wishes properly. If you feel that you're inclined towards things and practical applications, regardless of their details, and regardless of their principles, you often have the big inclination to be a successful technician. If you like innovation and design, and diving in details, you often have a tendency to be a successful engineer.
